Eleanor is a media artist and well-established printmaker. A prolific artist, having received numerous awards, grants, and commissions in her career. She maintains an active international artistic profile continuing her own research and roles such as curator, project management and directing of media arts events. Eleanor also has a significant reputation in Australian education, with a strong belief and commitment to pedagogical development in the creative and new media arts. She is a regular contributor to numerous professional associations, having published since 1985 and presented papers at various conferences in the UK, Taiwan, USA and Australia. Eleanor is widely regarded for her professional experience, and for her vision and direction at the Centre of New Media Arts at The Australian National University. During 2010, Eleanor was Deputy Director of the Australian Science Festival successfully bringing the program together and where she was able to bring together her passion for arts and sciences with education and business. This also led to her International Artist in Residency at the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) and her latest collection of work, ‘Finger Codes’.
Her interests firmly cross-over arts, science, communication and media.
